Mike Davis (born February 19, 1993) is a former professional American football player. He was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. Mike played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. The San Francisco 49ers picked him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and Baltimore Ravens.

Early Life and High School Football
Mike Davis grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He went to Stephenson High School. There, he played football and ran track. As a senior, he ran for 1,923 yards. He also scored 21 touchdowns. Experts at Rivals.com ranked him as the seventh best running back recruit. In track, he ran the 100-meter dash in 11.84 seconds. Mike first planned to go to the University of Florida. But he later decided to attend the University of South Carolina.
College Football Career
Mike Davis played college football at the University of South Carolina. He played for coach Steve Spurrier from 2012 to 2014.
Freshman and Sophomore Seasons
In 2012, as a first-year player, Mike rushed for 275 yards. He also scored two touchdowns. In 2013, he became the main running back. He ran for 1,183 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He was named a second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) player.
Junior Season and NFL Draft Decision
As a junior in 2014, Mike rushed for 982 yards. He scored nine touchdowns that season. On December 25, 2014, Mike announced he would leave college early. He decided to enter the 2015 NFL draft.

San Francisco 49ers (2015–2017)
The San Francisco 49ers picked Mike Davis in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. He was the 126th player chosen overall. Mike played his first NFL game on September 20, 2015. He finished his first year with 58 rushing yards. He also had 38 receiving yards.
On October 23, 2016, Mike scored his first NFL touchdown. It was against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He ended the 2016 season with 50 rushing yards and one touchdown. The 49ers released him on May 5, 2017.
Seattle Seahawks (2017–2018)

Carolina Panthers (2019–2020)
The Carolina Panthers picked up Mike Davis on November 11, 2019. In 2020, he became the starting running back for a while. This happened after Christian McCaffrey got injured. In Week 4, Mike had 111 total yards and a rushing touchdown. This helped the Panthers win 31–21.

He also had 259 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Falcons released him on May 2, 2022.
Baltimore Ravens (2022)
On May 10, 2022, Mike Davis signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He was released by the Ravens on December 10, 2022. Mike Davis announced his retirement from football on February 19, 2024.
