Mike played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. The San Francisco 49ers picked him in the 2015 NFL draft. He also played for several other teams. These teams include the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and Baltimore Ravens.

Mike Davis's Early Life
Mike Davis grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He went to Stephenson High School. There, he played football and ran track. In his last year of high school, he ran for 1,923 yards. He also scored 21 touchdowns. Experts thought he was one of the best running back recruits. Mike first planned to go to the University of Florida. But he later decided to attend the University of South Carolina.
College Football Career
Mike Davis played college football for the University of South Carolina. He played from 2012 to 2014. His coach was Steve Spurrier.
Freshman and Sophomore Years
In 2012, as a freshman, Mike ran for 275 yards. He scored two touchdowns. In 2013, he became the main running back. This happened after Marcus Lattimore left. Mike had a great year, rushing for 1,183 yards. He also scored 11 touchdowns. He was named to the second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Junior Year and NFL Draft

San Francisco 49ers (2015–2016)
The San Francisco 49ers picked Mike Davis in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. This was the 126th pick overall. He played his first NFL game on September 20, 2015. He finished his first year with 58 rushing yards. In 2016, he scored his first NFL touchdown. The 49ers released him in May 2017.
Seattle Seahawks (2017–2018)
The Seattle Seahawks picked up Mike Davis in May 2017. He joined their practice squad first. Later, he was moved to the main team. In 2017, he ran for 240 yards.
