Mindoro (pronounced min-DOR-oh) is a small community in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's not a city or town with its own local government. However, it is recognized as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This helps the U.S. Census Bureau collect information about the people living there. Mindoro is part of the larger La Crosse area. It was first officially listed as a CDP before the 2020 census.

Where is Mindoro Located?
Mindoro is found in the northern part of La Crosse County. It sits west of the center of a larger area called the town of Farmington. The community is nestled in a place called the Lewis Valley. It's located south of Fleming Creek and near the entrance to Severson Coulee.
Getting Around Mindoro
County Highway C runs right through Mindoro. If you travel south on this highway for about 10 miles, you'll reach West Salem. Heading northeast for about 4 miles will take you to Burr Oak.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Mindoro CDP covers an area of about 1.6 square kilometers (or 0.6 square miles). All of this area is land, with no water.
