Mink Brook is a small waterway, also called a stream, located in western New Hampshire in the United States. It is about 9.5-mile-long (15.3 km), which is roughly the distance you might bike in an hour! This stream is a "tributary" of the Connecticut River, meaning it flows into the larger river. The Connecticut River then continues its journey all the way to Long Island Sound.
About Mink Brook
Mink Brook is special because its entire path is within the town of Hanover. This means it starts, flows, and ends all within the same town!
Where Does Mink Brook Start?
The journey of Mink Brook begins on the western side of Moose Mountain. Imagine water trickling down the side of a mountain; that's where this stream gets its start. From there, it flows generally towards the west.
Where Does Mink Brook Go?
As Mink Brook travels west, it passes through the small village of Etna. Eventually, it reaches its final destination: the Connecticut River. This meeting point is just north of where the towns of Hanover and Lebanon share a border.
