Geography of Minturn
Minturn is found in the southeastern part of Lawrence County. Its exact location is 35°58′24″N 91°1′44″W / 35.97333°N 91.02889°W.
The town covers a total area of about 1.47 square kilometers (0.57 square miles). All of this area is land, with no water.
Roads and Highways
Arkansas Highway 367 goes right through the middle of Minturn. This road used to be part of a bigger highway called U.S. Route 67.
Today, U.S. Route 67 is a modern four-lane highway that passes east of Minturn. You can't get directly into Minturn from this new highway.
Highway 367 connects Minturn to other towns. If you go northeast for about 6 miles (10 km), you'll reach Hoxie. If you travel southwest the same distance, you'll find Alicia.
Another road, Arkansas Highway 228, goes west from Minturn for about 6 miles (10 km). It ends at the Black River.
