Mirka's Early Life and Tennis Journey
Starting Tennis as a Kid
Miroslava was born in Bojnice, which was then part of Czechoslovakia. She moved to Switzerland when she was just two years old. When she was nine, in 1987, her dad took her to a tennis tournament in Germany. There, Mirka met the legendary tennis player Martina Navratilova. Martina thought Mirka looked strong and suggested she try tennis. Later, Navratilova even sent her a racquet and helped her get her first tennis lesson.
Playing Professional Tennis
Mirka became a professional tennis player on January 15, 1998. She played with her right hand and used a two-handed backhand. Her best performance in a major tournament, called a Grand Slam, was at the US Open. She reached the third round, which was a great achievement.
Retirement from Tennis
Sadly, a foot injury kept bothering Mirka. This injury made it hard for her to improve her ranking further. Because of this, she had to retire from playing tennis professionally in 2002. Before she retired, her highest ranking was No. 76 in the world, which she achieved in 2001. After she stopped playing, Mirka started working as Roger Federer's public relations manager. She often traveled with him to his matches and was seen cheering him on.
Mirka's Family Life

Having Children
In 2009, Mirka and Roger welcomed their first children, identical twin girls named Myla and Charlene. A few years later, in 2014, they had another set of twins. This time, they were fraternal twin boys, Leo and Lenny.
