Early Life and Start in Music

Stanley P. Cox was born in Oakland, California, on January 23, 1982. He was raised by his mother and grandparents. As a teenager, F.A.B. loved playing basketball. He was a point guard for his high school team. After an injury, he had to stop playing basketball.

He then started joining local freestyle rap battles. He quickly became known as a very strong rapper. This helped him begin his music journey.

Rising in the Music Scene

However, he faced some challenges. His song "Ghost Ride It" caused controversy. The song talked about "ghost riding" cars. This is when people jump out of a moving car and walk beside it. Also, the music video used a logo that looked like the Ghostbusters logo. This led to legal issues and the video being removed.
