Mocky, whose real name is Dominic Salole, was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. As he grew up, he moved around a lot. He lived in Canadian cities like Ottawa and Toronto. Later, he moved to different countries, including London, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Today, he lives in Los Angeles, USA.
His father is from Somalia, but he was born in a place that is now Yemen. Mocky's mother is English.
