Sayyid Mohammad Mirmohammadi (Persian: سید محمد میرمحمدی; 1948 – 2 March 2020) was an important Iranian politician. He was a senior adviser to Ali Khamenei, who is Iran's Supreme Leader. Mirmohammadi was also a member of the Expediency Discernment Council. This council helps settle disagreements between different parts of the government.
He served as a member of the Iranian parliament, called the Islamic Consultative Assembly, for two terms. He represented the city of Qom. Mohammad Mirmohammadi also held other key roles, including being the chief of staff for two presidents. He was also a leader in the Islamic Civilization Party.

Mohammad Mirmohammadi was born in 1948 in the city of Qom, Iran. His uncle was Mousa Shubairi Zanjani, a respected religious leader.

Serving in Parliament
Mohammad Mirmohammadi was elected to the Islamic Consultative Assembly, which is Iran's parliament. He represented the people of Qom for two terms, from 2000 to 2008. In this role, he helped make laws and decisions for the country.
Key Advisory Positions
In August 2017, Mirmohammadi was appointed as a member of the Expediency Discernment Council. This council is a very important body in Iran. It advises the Supreme Leader and helps resolve disputes between the parliament and the Guardian Council. He also served as a senior adviser to the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
Other Government Roles
Mirmohammadi also served as the head of the President's Office for many years. He worked under both Ali Khamenei and Hashemi Rafsanjani when they were presidents. Later, he became the Secretary General of the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization. This role is similar to a Vice President.
Death
Mohammad Mirmohammadi passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 71. He died from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). At that time, he was the highest-ranking official in Iran to die from the virus. His mother also died from COVID-19.
