History of Moore
The town of Moore started in 1903. This happened when the Montana Central Railway built a new train line. The line went west from Lewistown. The town was named after Henry D. Moore. He helped pay for the railroad to be built.
Geography and Location
Moore is found along U.S. Route 87. It is about 15 miles away from Lewistown. The town covers a total area of 0.24 square miles (0.62 km2). All of this area is land.

Schools in Moore
Moore Public Schools teaches students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. The sports teams at Moore High School are called the Bulldogs.
Moore also works with nearby towns for sports. This is called the Tri-City sports coop. It includes teams from Hobson and Judith Gap.
