Morena Baccarin (born June 2, 1979) is a talented American actress. She is well-known for her roles in popular TV shows and movies. These include playing Adria in Stargate SG-1, Inara Serra in Firefly, and Vanessa in the Deadpool films. She also starred as Jessica Brody in Homeland and Leslie Thompkins in Gotham. For her work in Homeland, she was nominated for a top acting award in 2013. Morena was born in Brazil and moved to the United States when she was a child.

Morena Baccarin's Early Life and Education
Morena Baccarin was born on June 2, 1979, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her mother, Vera Setta, was an actress, and her father, Fernando Baccarin, was a journalist. Her family moved to New York City when she was 10 years old.
Morena went to Public School 41 and the New York City Lab School. There, she was classmates with Claire Danes, who later became her co-star in Homeland. After high school, Morena studied acting at the famous Juilliard School. She is now a citizen of the United States.

Morena Baccarin started her acting career in films. Her first movie role was in the comedy Perfume in 2001. She then had a main role in Way Off Broadway that same year.
Her first TV series was the science-fiction drama Firefly in 2002. She played the character Inara Serra. Morena later played this role again in the 2005 movie Serenity.
In 2005, Morena lent her voice to the character Black Canary in the animated series Justice League Unlimited. She also appeared in episodes of How I Met Your Mother and The O.C. in 2006. Morena Baccarin married film producer and director Austin Chick in November 2011. They had a son in October 2013. They later divorced in 2016.
Around that time, Morena began dating her Gotham co-star Ben McKenzie. Their daughter was born in March 2016. Morena and Ben got engaged in November 2016. They were married in Brooklyn, New York, on June 2, 2017, which was Morena's 38th birthday. In March 2021, they welcomed another son.
