Morris Cerullo (born October 2, 1931 – died July 10, 2020) was an American evangelist. He was part of the Pentecostal Christian faith. He traveled all over the world to share his message.

He had a daily TV show called Victory Today. He also wrote more than 80 books. In 1990, he bought parts of the PTL ministry, including a TV network.

Early Life and Family

Growing Up

Morris Cerullo was born in Passaic, New Jersey. His father was Italian and his mother was Russian Jewish. When he was very young, his parents died in a car accident.

He grew up in different orphanages. The last one was a Jewish orphanage in Clifton, New Jersey. When he was 14, he became a Christian. A nurse at the orphanage helped him with this.

Soon after, the orphanage leaders did not want him to practice his new faith. So, he ran away from the orphanage. He started preaching when he was 16 years old. He said he had a vision from God that showed him people suffering.

He went to divinity school in New York and finished in 1953. He began his ministry with help from Theresa, who soon became his wife. In the early 1950s, he became a minister in the Assemblies of God.

His Family

Morris and Theresa Cerullo had three children. Their names are David (born 1952), Susan (born 1954), and Mark (born 1957). Mark passed away in 1993.

When Morris Cerullo died, he had seven grandchildren. He also had nine great-grandchildren.

His Ministry Work

Morris Cerullo held many "Schools of Ministry" around the world. He visited countries like Mexico, Brazil, the Philippines, Korea, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Indonesia, and the Netherlands.

During these schools, he would often preach in large public meetings. He would invite people to commit to Jesus Christ. He would also pray for people to be healed. Students from his schools would then check on the healing reports.

After these big meetings, he would encourage his students to share the same message in their own countries. Cerullo always said that Jesus Christ was the healer, not him. He taught people to have faith in God's word.

The Inspiration Network (INSP)

In 1990, Morris Cerullo bought a cable TV network. It was part of a deal for the Heritage USA Christian theme park. The network was renamed INSP-The Inspiration Network.

This network became a separate company called The Inspiration Networks. Morris Cerullo's son, David, became its president and CEO. He also served as the chairman.

The company is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. They built a large new broadcast center called "CrossRidge." It opened on March 1, 2009.

Morris Cerullo continued to travel as a missionary. In 2014, he said that God told him, "Prophets never retire!" In 2015, when he was 83, he toured Africa for nine days. He held meetings, gave training, and met with leaders in six different African countries.

His Passing

Morris Cerullo passed away on July 10, 2020. He was 88 years old. He died from problems caused by pneumonia.
