For her acting, she was nominated for a special award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

She is also famous for playing Reva Sevander, also known as the Third Sister. This character was in the Disney+ show Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was released in 2022.

Early Life and Education

Moses Ingram grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She lived in a blended family with six children. Her mother worked in childcare, and her stepfather worked for the city.

Discovering Acting

When Moses was 10 years old, her mother and a teacher helped her join an after-school theater program. This was her first step into acting. She later attended the Baltimore School for the Arts and finished there in 2012.

College and Challenges

After high school, Moses wanted to go to Howard University. However, she could not afford it. So, in 2012, she enrolled at Baltimore City Community College. This college did not have a drama program. Still, her advisor told her to keep acting and try out for local plays. She also worked many part-time jobs and earned scholarships to pay for her studies. She earned an associate degree from the college.

Yale University and New Name

In 2015, Moses won a regional acting competition. She placed fourth in the national competition. The winner, Jonathan Majors, told her to try out for the Yale School of Drama. She was accepted with a scholarship and started there in 2016.

Before going to Yale, she changed her first name to Moses. She chose the name after the biblical figure. She felt her old name did not fit her journey anymore.

In 2018, she received a Princess Grace Award. In her last year at Yale, she played the main role of Viola in a play called Twelfth Night. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in June 2019.

Acting Career

Just one month after finishing Yale, Moses Ingram tried out for a role in The Queen's Gambit. She got the part of Jolene. Jolene is a friend of the main character, Beth, from the orphanage. For this role, Moses was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Moses Ingram has appeared in several movies. She was in The Same Storm, a drama by Peter Hedges. She also played Lady Macduff in The Tragedy of Macbeth. This movie came out in September 2021. In 2022, she was in the action movie Ambulance. Because of her Emmy nomination and these roles, Variety magazine named her one of the top ten actors to watch in 2021.

Star Wars and Support

In 2022, Moses Ingram joined the Star Wars universe. She played Reva Sevander, also known as the Third Sister, in the Disney+ show Obi-Wan Kenobi. Her character was an Inquisitor who hunted down Jedi.

After the show came out, Moses received many mean messages online. Her co-star, Ewan McGregor, and Disney supported her. McGregor said that people sending hateful messages were not true Star Wars fans. For her performance in the show, she won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Television Series.
