Mount Cobb is found in the eastern part of Lackawanna County. It's part of Jefferson Township.
Getting Around Mount Cobb
Interstate 84 runs along the southern edge of Mount Cobb. You can get on or off the highway at Exit 8, which connects to Pennsylvania Route 247.
If you drive east on I-84, you'll reach Port Jervis, New York, about 46 miles away. If you head west, you can connect to Interstate 81 and reach Scranton in about 12 miles.
Pennsylvania Route 348, also called Mount Cobb Road, goes right through the middle of the community. It leads east to Hamlin (about 5 miles) and west to Pennsylvania Route 435 in Roaring Brook Township (about 3.5 miles). Route 247 also goes northwest from Mount Cobb to Jessup, which is about 6 miles away.

The western part of Mount Cobb drains west into Rock Bottom Creek, which flows into Roaring Brook. Roaring Brook then joins the Lackawanna River, which is part of the Susquehanna River system.
