Mount Julian is a mountain peak. It is found at the southern end of Maligne Lake. This lake is located in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Mount Julian is part of the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Ranges. These mountains are found in the Canadian Rockies. The peak stands tall at 2,769 meters (about 9,085 feet) high.
How Mount Julian Got Its Name
The mountain was given its name in 1928. A British politician named Leo Amery named it. He chose the name in honor of his son, Julian.
The First Climbers
The first time anyone successfully climbed Mount Julian was in 1930. A group of eight people made this first ascent. They were J.A. Corry, C.G. Crawford, E.M. Gillespie, J. McAuley, M. Percy, R. Rushworth, G. Shanger, and I. Vanderberg.
