Mount Ogden is a tall mountain peak in Weber County, Utah, United States. It's part of the northern Wasatch Range, a long mountain chain. This mountain is a popular spot for outdoor adventures and offers amazing views.

Reaching the Top: Mount Ogden's Height

Mount Ogden stands very tall, reaching an elevation of 9,579 feet (about 2,919 meters) above sea level. From its summit, you can see far and wide across the beautiful Utah landscape. The very top of the mountain has several large radio towers and even a helipad. These help with communication for the area.

Hiking and Climbing Adventures

If you love to hike, Mount Ogden is a great place to explore! Many hikers enjoy climbing to the top. You can reach the summit using trails that start in three nearby canyons: Beus Canyon, Waterfall Canyon, and Taylor Canyon. Each canyon offers a different path up the mountain. For more experienced climbers, the eastern side of the summit has challenging routes for technical crack and face climbing.

Snowbasin: A Winter Wonderland

On the eastern side of Mount Ogden, you'll find Snowbasin Ski Resort. This famous resort was a big part of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The exciting downhill ski races were held right here! Snowbasin also has a private road that goes all the way up to the peak, making it easier for some people to access the summit.
