Murray Bartlett (born 20 March 1971) is an Australian actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. He played a luxury resort manager in the first season of the HBO series The White Lotus in 2021. For this role, he won a Primetime Emmy Award.
He also gained recognition for playing Nick De Noia in the Hulu miniseries Welcome to Chippendales (2022). Another famous role was Frank in the episode "Long, Long Time" of the HBO series The Last of Us (2023). He received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for both of these roles.
Bartlett has also appeared in other TV shows. These include Looking (2014–2015), Tales of the City (2019), and Physical (2021–2023).

Early Life and Education
Murray Bartlett was born in Sydney, Australia, on March 20, 1971. When he was four years old, his family moved to Perth. He studied drama at John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle. He finished his studies there in 1988. After that, he was accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney. This is a famous school for actors.
Acting Career Highlights
Bartlett started his acting career in Australia. He appeared in the series headLand. In 1993, he played a character named Luke Foster in the show Neighbours. In 2000, he moved to the United States. His first big role there was as a guest star in the HBO series Sex and the City. He also played D.K., John Crichton's best friend, in four episodes of the SciFi Channel series Farscape. In 2006, he performed with Hugh Jackman in the Australian tour of The Boy From Oz.
From 2007 to 2009, Bartlett was a regular cast member on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. He played the character Cyrus Foley. He then starred as Dominic "Dom" Basaluzzo in the HBO series Looking from 2014 to 2015. He also appeared in the movie that ended the series, Looking: The Movie, in 2016. In 2017, he had a recurring role in the musical drama series Nashville. Bartlett also took on the main role of Michael 'Mouse' Tolliver in the Netflix show Tales of the City.
His role in The White Lotus was very successful. He won awards like the AACTA Awards, Critics' Choice Television Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2023, Bartlett appeared in the HBO series The Last of Us. He played Frank in the episode "Long, Long Time". This episode was highly praised by viewers and critics.
