Murtaugh is a small city in Twin Falls County, Idaho, United States. In 2010, the population was 115 people. This was a bit less than the 139 people who lived there in 2000. Murtaugh is part of the larger Twin Falls, Idaho area.
History of Murtaugh
Murtaugh has been a community since at least the early 1950s. The city is named after Mark Murtaugh. He was important because he managed a local project to bring water for farming. This is called an irrigation project.

The community is located right where U.S. Route 30 makes a turn. South of the city, across US-30, you can find Murtaugh Lake.
