MythQuest is an exciting Canadian TV show that first aired in 2001. It's about two teenagers, Cleo and Alex Bellows, played by Meredith Henderson and Christopher Jacot. Their dad, Matt, disappears into a special computer program called the Cyber Museum.
The Cyber Museum isn't just any program. It lets Cleo and Alex travel right into famous myths and legends! They do this by touching an artifact on the screen. Once inside a myth, they become characters in the story. Their main goal is to make sure the myth plays out the way it's supposed to.
But there's a big problem: a tricky god named Gorgos. He shows up in every myth, trying to change the stories. Alex and Cleo soon realize their search for their dad is super important. Gorgos wants to destroy entire cultures by messing up their ancient myths! It's a race against time to save their dad and history itself.
The show was filmed in different places across Canada. These included Drumheller, Calgary, East Coulee, Alberta, and Regina, Saskatchewan.
While the series isn't available on DVD or video right now, you can find books! Some novels were written based on the first three episodes and another called "Minokichi."
