Myton is a small city in Duchesne County, Utah, United States. It was started in 1905. In 2010, about 569 people lived there.

Where is Myton?

Myton is in the eastern part of Duchesne County. It is located along two main roads, U.S. Routes 40 and 191. The county seat, Duchesne, is about 19 miles (31 km) to the west. Roosevelt, the biggest city in the county, is about 10 miles (16 km) to the northeast.

The city covers about 1 square mile (2.6 square kilometers) of land. Myton is on the south side of the Duchesne River. This river flows east and joins the Green River.

In 1974, Myton had a record low amount of rain for a year in Utah. It received only about 1.34 inches (34 mm) of precipitation. This was one of the lowest amounts ever recorded in the United States outside of very dry desert areas.
