A Bit of History
Long ago, Napier had its own railway station. This station was open from 1911 to 1967. It was part of the Oaklands railway line. Trains used to stop here, connecting Napier to other towns. Today, you won't find any signs of the old station. It's all gone now.

Local Sports
Napier also had a strong sports team! The Napier Football Club played Australian Rules Football. In 1911, they were very successful. They won the championship for the Lockhart & District Football Association. This shows that even small communities can have great sports teams.
