Narputta's language group was Pintupi/Pitjantjatjara. Her art often told stories from her "Dreaming". These are special stories and beliefs important to Aboriginal culture. Her Dreaming stories included "Snake," "Jangala, Two Men," and "Two Women." She was a very respected artist in her community at Ikuntji. She was also a leading painter at the Ikuntji Women's Centre, which later became Ikuntji Artists. Narputta was married to the painter Timmy Tjungurrayi Jugadai.
