Natalia Lacunza Sanabdón, born on January 10, 1999, is a talented singer and songwriter from Spain. She became well-known in 2018. This happened when she finished third in Operación Triunfo, a popular Spanish TV singing competition. After the show, she signed a music deal with Universal Music Spain. In June 2019, she released her first mini-album, called "Otras Alas". Her song "Nana Triste" from this album became very popular. It reached number four on the Spanish music charts. The album itself was number one for two weeks and quickly earned a gold award. Her second mini-album, EP2, also topped the Spanish charts in March 2020.

Natalia's Early Life and Music Journey

Natalia Lacunza was born in Pamplona, Spain. From a young age, she felt a strong connection to music. As a child, she learned to play the fiddle at a music school. Her family had many musicians and actors. This meant Natalia often got to act in small plays. She discovered her love for performing and musical theater this way. As a teenager, she also learned guitar. She continued taking dance lessons, which she had done since she was little. Natalia especially loves modern dance styles.

After two years at university, she decided to leave. She was studying Audiovisual Communication. She wanted to focus completely on her music career. She started singing under the name Elian Bay. In 2017, she tried out for another TV music show called La Voz. She sang 'I Lived' by One Republic but didn't get through.

In June 2018, she auditioned for Operación Triunfo. She sang her own song, "Don't Ask," which was in English. Her audition was successful, and she joined the show in September 2018. Natalia quickly became a favorite on the show. She made it to the finale just before Christmas and finished in third place. In January 2019, she was considered to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest. However, another singer, Miki Núñez, was chosen instead. Natalia didn't mind. She told the media that being a new artist in such a big contest would be a lot of pressure.

Natalia's Music Career

First Albums: Otras Alas and EP2

After Operación Triunfo ended in December 2018, Natalia started working on her own music. In February 2019, she began a tour with other singers from the show. The tour started in Madrid and ended in Cádiz in August. They performed 13 concerts for over 120,000 fans.

In the spring, Natalia signed a deal with Universal Music Spain. She planned to release a mini-album. On June 4, 2019, she announced her first single, "Nana Triste." It was released on June 14 and featured Spanish singer Guitarricadelafuente. The song was loved by critics and fans. It helped both artists become more famous. One week later, on June 21, she released her first mini-album, "Otras Alas." It included songs with other artists like Marem Ladson. People compared her music to Billie Eilish. The album quickly sold over 20,000 copies in Spain. This earned it a gold award in just two weeks. It also topped the Spanish Album charts for two weeks in a row. Later that year, "Tarántula" was released as the second single from the album. Natalia promoted her music at many events, including the Coca-Cola Music Experience.

In January 2020, Natalia was nominated for several awards. These included 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Album' for "Otras Alas." She also started hinting at her next music project. On January 24, she released "Olvídate de Mí," the first song from her new mini-album. She performed it on the eleventh season of Operación Triunfo. In February, she released "Algo Duele Más" with BRONQUIO. She also worked with Pol Granch on the song "En Llamas."

Her second mini-album, called EP2, came out on March 13, 2020. She had planned signing events and a tour across Spain. However, these plans were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. EP2 became number one on the Spanish Album chart. On June 19, Natalia released a live mini-album called "En Casa." It had acoustic versions of four songs from EP2, recorded at her home.

New Music: Debut Album and Duro EP

On June 10, 2022, Natalia released her first full studio album, "Tiene Que Ser Para Mí." She had announced it in May, and it was introduced by the song "Todo Va A Cambiar." On November 11, she started the "Tiene Que Ser Para Mí Tour." This tour had 12 shows, starting in Zaragoza and ending in Pamplona on March 2.

Later, she released two more songs, "Intro (Duro)" and "Nunca Llega 05." These songs were part of her third mini-album, "DURO," which came out on September 29. Before "DURO" was released, she also put out a third song called "Verdadero" on September 27. The "DURO" mini-album was available digitally and as a special 10-inch vinyl record.
