Discovering New Eagle's Past
New Eagle was first called Riverview. It is right next to the city of Monongahela. A person named J. S. Markell planned out the town in 1901.
The area officially became the Borough of New Eagle on September 9, 1912. A very famous football player, Joe Montana, was born here! He is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
