New Richland is a city in Waseca County, Minnesota, United States. The city was started in 1877. In 2010, about 1,203 people lived there. By 2020, the population grew slightly to 1,229 people.

History of New Richland
New Richland was officially planned and marked out in 1877. It got its name from New Richland Township, which was named after Richland County in Wisconsin. The city has a special building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This building is the 1902 New Richland Odd Fellows Hall, which is a historic landmark.
Geography of the City
The city of New Richland covers an area of about 0.61 square miles (1.53 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the city limits. Two important roads, Minnesota Highway 13 and Minnesota Highway 30, pass through New Richland. These highways help people travel in and out of the city.
