History of New Richmond
New Richmond was officially started in 1836 by a person named Samuel Kincaid. The town's post office has been open since 1850, helping people send and receive mail for a very long time.
New Richmond in the Movies
A cool fact about New Richmond is that it was used as a filming location for the movie Hoosiers in 1985. For the movie, the town was temporarily renamed "Hickory, Indiana."
