Geography of Newmanstown
Newmanstown is located in the southeastern part of Lebanon County. It sits on the edge of Millcreek Township. To the northeast, it borders two other townships, Marion and Heidelberg, both in Berks County.
Roads and Nearby Towns
A main road, Route 419, runs right through the middle of Newmanstown. It's known as Main Street in town. If you head northeast on Route 419 for about 2 miles (3.2 km), you'll reach Womelsdorf. Going southwest for about 6 miles (9.7 km) will take you to Schaefferstown.
The city of Lebanon, which is the main city of the county, is about 12 miles (19 km) to the west. Another larger city, Reading, is about 16 miles (26 km) to the east of Newmanstown.
Land and Water
According to the United States Census Bureau, Newmanstown covers a total area of about 2.2 square miles (5.7 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the community. Mill Creek flows along the western side of Newmanstown. This creek eventually flows north into Tulpehocken Creek, which then joins the Schuylkill River.
