Niamh McGrady, born on October 4, 1982, is an actress from Castlewellan, a town in County Down, Northern Ireland. She acts in movies, on stage, and on TV. Many people know her for playing Mary-Claire Carter in the TV show Holby City and PC Danielle Ferrington in the exciting TV series The Fall.

About Niamh McGrady
Early Life and Education
Niamh McGrady grew up in Castlewellan, County Down. She went to Assumption Grammar School in Ballynahinch, County Down. When she was 18, she began training to be an actress. She studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Her Acting Journey
Niamh started her acting career in the summer of 2003 in Italy. After finishing her studies, she joined a play called Romeo and Juliet in Wales. Then, she performed in a pantomime show in Belfast.
Later, she moved to London to act in a play called Girls & Dolls. Niamh also appeared in the famous Shakespeare play Macbeth, starring Patrick Stewart. This play was very popular in London's West End. In 2008, it moved to Broadway in New York City.
When she returned to London, Niamh started acting on television. Her first TV role was in a movie about George Best called Best: His Mother's Son in 2009. Soon after, she joined the cast of Holby City. She played the nurse Mary-Claire Carter in this show.
Niamh also acted in many short independent films. In 2013, she was cast in the crime TV series The Fall. This show was set in Northern Ireland and she acted alongside Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan.
She returned to Holby City as a regular cast member in 2013. She left Holby City in early 2015. Her final scenes aired in April 2015.
