Nicholas Irving (born November 28, 1986) is an American author and a former soldier. He was a special operations sniper in the 3rd Ranger Battalion for the U.S. Army.

Nicholas Irving was born on November 28, 1986. His birthplace was Augsburg, Germany. Both of his parents were soldiers in the military.
Career Highlights
Military Service
Irving first wanted to join the Navy SEALs. However, he could not pass a colorblindness test. Instead, he joined the United States Army Rangers. He served in both the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan.
As a sniper, he used a special rifle called an SR-25. He nicknamed his rifle Dirty Diana. With this rifle, he had 33 confirmed kills. This means he was very successful in his missions.
Entertainment Work
After leaving the Army, Irving started a career in entertainment.
In 2016, he was one of four military leaders. They served as coaches on a reality TV show called American Grit. The show also featured John Cena.
Starting in August 2017, Irving began appearing on YouTube. He was a regular guest on the popular firearm channel Demolition Ranch. He also appeared on other YouTube channels. These included LunkersTV, Insider, and VladTV.
He also worked as an advisor for a movie. This was for the 2017 sniper film The Wall. He helped make sure the movie looked realistic.
Author
In 2015, Nicholas Irving wrote a book. It was called The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers. He wrote it with Gary Brozek. The book became a New York Times bestseller. It tells the story of his military career.
A company bought the rights to make a TV show from his book. Later, NBC planned to make a miniseries. However, in late 2017, Irving shared that the miniseries was canceled. He also said that a movie based on his book was being planned.
Personal Life
Nicholas Irving married Jessica Irving in 2007.
