Nijiro Murakami (村上 虹郎, Murakami Nijirō, born March 17, 1997) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. He is famous for playing Shuntaro Chishiya in the popular Netflix survival show Alice in Borderland.
Murakami's first major role was as Kaito in the 2014 movie Still the Water. The film was so good that it was chosen to compete for a top prize, the Palme d'Or, at the famous 2014 Cannes Film Festival. He also received praise for his role in the 2021 film Last of the Wolves. For that performance, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize, which is like Japan's version of the Oscars.

Early Life and Family
Nijiro Murakami was born on March 17, 1997, in Tokyo, Japan. His parents are also famous. His father is actor Jun Murakami and his mother is the singer Ua.
His parents separated when he was nine, and he grew up with his mother, stepfather, and three younger half-siblings. As a teenager, his family moved to Okinawa. Murakami also spent some time studying in Montreal, Canada, which helped him learn about different cultures.
Acting Career
Starting on the Big Screen
Murakami began his acting career in 2014. His very first movie was Still the Water, where he played the main character, Kaito. His performance was a huge success, and he won the Best Newcomer Award at the 29th Takasaki Film Festival.
In 2015, he appeared in his first TV show, Tenshi no Naifu. That same year, he starred in a live-action movie based on the popular anime Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.
Becoming a Voice Actor
Besides acting on screen, Murakami is also a talented voice actor. He is well known for voicing the character Hiro Shishigami in the anime series Inuyashiki, which is based on a manga.
