Nicole Renee Taylor (born March 5, 1975) is an American model. She has also hosted television shows.

Early Life and Beginnings

Niki Taylor was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her dad, Ken, was a highway patrol officer. Her mom, Barbara, was a photographer. Niki grew up in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She went to Cooper City High School. She has two sisters, Joelle and Krissy.

Becoming a Model

Niki started modeling very young. When she was 13, she signed with Irene Marie Models. She won a "Fresh Faces" contest in New York City. This led to a big modeling contract worth $500,000.

Her first magazine cover was Seventeen in August 1989. She was only 14 years old. The next year, she appeared on the cover of Vogue. At 15, she was one of the youngest models ever on Vogue.

In 1991, Niki was named one of People magazine's Most Beautiful People. She was just 16. In 1992, she signed a big deal with CoverGirl. She was the first model under 18 to do so. Niki appeared in many ads for brands like Thierry Mugler and L'Oréal. She was the only person to have six billboards in Times Square at once. Three of them showed her picture all year!

Famous Magazine Covers

May 1996 was a huge month for Niki. She appeared on the covers of six major American magazines. These included Allure, Vogue, and ELLE. This amazing achievement was called the 'Niki Six'.

Niki also appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was in the 1997 and 1998 editions. She was even the cover model for the 1998 Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar.

Recent Modeling Work

In September 2016, Niki started modeling again. She shot covers for magazines like Paper and British Vogue. She also worked for designers like Marc Jacobs. In 2017, she was named "best dressed" by magazines like Vanity Fair and Vogue.

In April 2021, Niki became the face of CoverGirl once more. This was after her first contract ended in 2000.

Other Projects

Besides modeling, Niki has worked in television. She interviewed people for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. She also hosted Fashionably Loud on MTV.

In 2005, Niki launched her own perfume, "Begin by Niki Taylor." She also started the Begin Foundation. This foundation helps women in business. In 2008, Niki co-hosted the TV show Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo.

Personal Life

In October 2006, Niki got engaged to NASCAR driver Burney Lamar. They met at an autograph session. They got married on December 27, 2006. Instead of wedding gifts, they asked for donations. These donations went to Victory Junction Gang Camp. This camp helps children with long-term illnesses.

Niki and Burney had a daughter on March 4, 2009. This was one day before Niki's 34th birthday. They live in Brentwood, Tennessee. On November 16, 2011, they welcomed their second child, a son. Niki often attends fashion events with her family and friends.

Health and Recovery

On April 29, 2001, Niki was in a serious car accident. She suffered severe internal injuries. She was unconscious and in a coma for six weeks. She then had to stay in bed for another month. Niki had many operations and a lot of physical therapy. She worked hard to recover.
