Nita Mukesh Ambani (born Nita Dalal on November 1, 1963) is an Indian businesswoman and philanthropist, which means she uses her wealth to help others. She is the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation and the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She is also a director at Reliance Industries, a major Indian company.

She is married to Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited. Their family is one of the richest in the world. Besides her work in business and charity, Nita Ambani is a big fan of art and owns the Mumbai Indians, a popular cricket team in the Indian Premier League.

In 2016, Forbes magazine named her one of the most powerful women in business in Asia. That same year, she made history by becoming the first Indian woman to be a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Nita Ambani was born into a middle-class family in Mumbai. Her parents are Ravindrabhai Dalal and Purnima Dalal. Growing up, she learned Bharatnatyam, a classical Indian dance, and became a professional dancer.

For her education, she earned a bachelor's degree in commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. Her sister, Mamta Dalal, is a teacher who has taught the children of famous people like Sachin Tendulkar and Shah Rukh Khan.

Nita was working as a school teacher when she met Mukesh Ambani. They got married in 1985. She continued to work as a teacher for a few years after their marriage.

They have three children: two sons and a daughter. Today, Nita is a grandmother to four grandchildren. The family lives in a famous skyscraper home in Mumbai called Antilia, which is known for being one of the most expensive houses in the world.
