Where is Nokomis?
Nokomis is found in eastern Montgomery County, Illinois. A main road, Illinois Route 16, runs through the city. This road connects Nokomis to Hillsboro, which is about 16 miles southwest, and to Pana, about 13 miles northeast.
Nokomis is next to the village of Wenonah to the north. It also borders the village of Coalton to the southwest. The city covers an area of about 1.3 square miles (3.27 square kilometers), and all of it is land. Nokomis is located at the start of the East Fork of Shoal Creek, which flows south into the Kaskaskia River.
