Noordwijkerhout (pronounced like noort-wike-er-howt) is a town in the western part of the Netherlands. It is located in the province of South Holland. This town is famous for being in the "Dune and Bulb Region" (called the Duin- en Bollenstreek in Dutch), which is known for its beautiful tulips and other flowers.
Noordwijkerhout used to be its own municipality (a type of local government area). However, on January 1, 2019, it became part of the larger municipality of Noordwijk. The village of De Zilk also joined Noordwijk at the same time.
