Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr. (born August 22, 1934 – died December 27, 2012), often called Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr., was a very important U.S. Army general. He was famous for leading the team of countries during the Gulf War. This war happened in the Middle East.

He was born in Trenton, New Jersey. His parents were Ruth Alice and Norman Schwarzkopf, Sr.. Both of his parents were Americans with German family roots. General Schwarzkopf passed away from pneumonia when he was 78 years old. He died in Tampa, Florida.
