North Brooksville is a special kind of community in Hernando County, Florida, United States. Geography of North Brooksville
North Brooksville is located in the eastern part of Hernando County. You can find its exact spot using these coordinates: 28°33′48″N 82°24′2″W / 28.56333°N 82.40056°W. It is right next to the city of Brooksville, which is the main town in Hernando County. North Brooksville borders Brooksville on its northwest, north, and northeast sides.
Major Roads and Water Areas
Two important roads run through North Brooksville. U.S. Route 98 goes through the western part of the area. It leads south into Brooksville and travels about 20 miles northwest to Homosassa Springs. U.S. Route 41 crosses the middle of North Brooksville. This road goes south into Brooksville and about 19 miles north to Inverness.
The United States Census Bureau says that North Brooksville covers a total area of about 17.1 square kilometers (about 6.6 square miles). Most of this area is land. Only a very small part, about 0.05 square kilometers (0.02 square miles), is water.
