North East Delhi is one of the eleven special areas, called districts, in Delhi, India. It was created in 1997. This district is next to the Yamuna River on its west side. To the north and east, it shares a border with Ghaziabad District. East Delhi is to its south, and North Delhi is to its west, across the Yamuna River. Three main parts of this district are Karawal Nagar, Seelampur, and Yamuna Vihar.
