According to the census from 2010, there were 701 people living in North Freedom. These people lived in 271 households, and 176 of these were families.
The village had about 865 people per square mile (321 people per square kilometer). Most residents, 97.1%, were White. A small number of people were from other racial backgrounds. About 2.6% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.

Schools in North Freedom
North Freedom is part of the Baraboo School District. This district runs several schools for students of different ages. These include North Freedom Elementary School, Young Middle School, and Baraboo High School.
North Freedom Elementary School first opened its doors in 1902. A new building for the elementary school started being used in 1991. Before 1961–1962, families outside the City of Baraboo had to pay to send their children to Baraboo High School. After that time, the Baraboo School District grew and included other school districts.

Some notable people have connections to North Freedom or the surrounding area:
- Samuel Northrup (1801–1860) was a Wisconsin State Representative. He lived nearby and is buried in North Freedom.
- Algie Martin Simons (1870–1950) was a journalist and editor. He was born and grew up on a farm close to North Freedom.
