North Middletown is a small city in Bourbon County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is a "home rule-class city," which means it has the power to manage its own local affairs. In 2010, about 643 people lived there. This city is part of the larger Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area.

A Look at Its Past
North Middletown became an official city in 1818. The word "North" was added to its name. This was done to make sure people didn't confuse it with another place called Middletown, Kentucky. A post office has been open in North Middletown since 1819.
Where is North Middletown?
North Middletown is located in the southeastern part of Bourbon County. A main road, U.S. Route 460, goes right through the middle of the town. This road is also known as Main Street.
If you travel northwest on Route 460, you will reach Paris. Paris is the county seat and is about 10 miles (16 km) away. If you go southeast, you will arrive at Mount Sterling, which is about 12 miles (19 km) away. The city covers a total area of about 0.33 square miles (0.86 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
