Northlake is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It's located within Leyden Township and Proviso Township. In 2020, about 12,840 people lived there. The city is known by its friendly nickname: "The City of Friendly People." The name "Northlake" comes from two main roads, North Avenue (IL 64) and Lake Street (US 20), which meet near the city's western edge.

Centerpoint Preserve
The Centerpoint Preserve, also known as Grant Park, is a large park in Northlake. It's about 32 acres (13 hectares) in size. This land was given to the city by Centerpoint Properties. The preserve is a popular spot for activities in Northlake.
The park has a path for walking and bicycling, and there's even a special area for dogs called a dog park. Along the walking path, you can find different exercise stations for things like pull-ups and sit-ups. There's also interesting metal artwork to see.
