Where is Novice Located?
Novice is found in the northwestern part of Coleman County. A major road, U.S. Route 84, passes about 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of the city. This road can take you to Coleman, which is the main town of the county, about 17 miles (27 km) to the southeast. It also leads north to the larger city of Abilene, which is about 35 miles (56 km) away.

Education in Novice

This change officially happened on March 1, 2013, when the Novice district combined with Coleman ISD. Now, students from Novice attend schools in the Coleman Independent School District.
