Early Life and Musical Start
OG grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, a city famous for music. His journey into music began when he was just a toddler. His mother, Quincy Tejeda, was a professional singer with the Nashville Super Choir and the Bobby Jones Gospel show. She introduced him to music at church.
By the time he was four years old, OG had his own drum set. As he got older, he became a skilled drummer. To improve his talents, he attended the Nashville School of the Arts. This special high school helped him become an even better musician.
After high school, OG decided to become a full-time music producer. He was inspired by famous producers like Timbaland, Danja, and The Neptunes. He taught himself how to play the piano and started creating his own music.
Career in Music Production
Building His Sound
Around 2010, OG teamed up with other producers named Fate Eastwood and Matic Lee. They helped him develop his unique style of music. By working with them, OG got the chance to produce songs for well-known artists like Yo Gotti and musicians from the Strange Music record label.
He spent a lot of time in different recording studios, learning what it takes to make high-quality music. Soon after, OG set up his own studio and began working as an independent producer.
Working with Labels and Artists
In late 2011, OG was offered the job of lead producer at Outlet Records. He accepted and started working with the label's artists. At the same time, he managed his own studio.
OG has also worked with athletes who make hip-hop music, such as basketball player Iman Shumpert and football player O'Brien Schofield. In 2013, he met an executive from Dynasty Records, which led him to move to Atlanta, Georgia. This move gave him more opportunities to work with the singer Mishon and other artists in the city's busy music scene.
