Olde Kensington, also known as South Kensington, is a cool neighborhood in Philadelphia. It's part of the North Philadelphia area. It sits north of Northern Liberties, south of Norris Square, east of Fishtown, and west of Ludlow. Its borders are Berks Street (north), Girard Avenue (south), Front Street (east), and 6th Street (west).
After World War II, many parts of Philadelphia changed a lot. Olde Kensington, like its neighbors, is now seeing many improvements. Old factories are becoming new homes and art studios. This change is called gentrification, which means an area is getting new life and new residents.
