Olga Korsak (born February 10, 1989, in Riga, Latvia) is a talented former figure skater from Latvia. Today, she is a successful actress and singer/songwriter living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was the Latvian National Champion in figure skating for the 2006-2007 season. She also won silver in 2004-2005 and bronze in 2002-2003 at the national championships.

Olga Korsak's Journey

From Ice Skater to Star

Olga loved figure skating and competed for her country. In 2006, she faced a big challenge. While trying to qualify for the World Figure Championships in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she suffered a back injury. This injury meant she had to stop her figure skating career.

After her skating career ended, Olga continued her education. She graduated from the Latvian Academy of Sports Education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Stage Production & Fitness. In October 2009, she moved to Toronto, Canada. There, she decided to follow her dreams of becoming an actress and a singer/songwriter.

Her Journey in Music

Olga started making music under the stage name LIVVA. In 2014, she released her first album, Behind Closed Doors. This album was very popular in Canada, selling over 10,000 copies.

Acting on the Big Screen

After acting in a few independent films, Olga got a big role in 2018. She was cast as the main character in Junga Song's movie The Petrichor. In the film, she acted alongside famous Russian star Aleksei Serebryakov. Another well-known figure skater, Evgenia Medvedeva, also made a special appearance in the movie.

The story of The Petrichor is about a former figure skater named Maya. Due to sad events in her life, Maya did not succeed in her first two international competitions. Inspired by her skating hero, Igor Rusky, she decides to return to the ice at age thirty. She wants to chase her dream of competing again.

The Petrichor first showed at the Moscow International Film Festival on October 2, 2020. The film won the award for Best Feature Film. Olga also won Best Actress at the Canadian Cinematography Awards. The movie and Olga received many more awards in 2020.
