Olga Olegovna Lomonosova (Russian: Ольга Олеговна Ломоносова) was born on May 18, 1978. She is a well-known Russian actress and used to be a ballet dancer. Many people know her for her roles as Kira Voropayeva in the TV show Not Born Beautiful and Alla Safranov in the Netflix series Better than Us.
Early Life and Training
Olga Lomonosova grew up in Donetsk, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time. Her mother was an economist, and her father was a builder. When she was a child, Olga enjoyed rhythmic gymnastics.
In 1986, her family moved to Kiev. There, Olga joined the School of The Olympic Reserve. She became very good at gymnastics. At 12 years old, Olga started studying ballet at the Kiev Choreographic School.
In 1997, Olga moved to Moscow. She joined the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre as a ballet dancer. She also studied acting at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. She finished her studies there in 2003.
Theatre Performances
Olga Lomonosova has performed in many plays. One of her first roles was Natalia Petrovna in "Beautiful People" at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute.
In 2003, she played Cordelia in "Lear," a play based on King Lear by William Shakespeare. She also acted in "Don Juan and Sganarel" and "Caligula."
She played Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Moscow Drama Theatre named after K. S. Stanislavsky. Olga also took on the role of Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion. She has performed in other plays like "Duck Hunt," "Tartuf," "Valentine's Day," and "The Eldest Son."
TV and Film Roles
Olga Lomonosova started her acting career on television. Her first big role was Ekaterina Vosnesenskaya in the TV series Kobra. Antiterror in 2003.
She became very famous for playing Kira Voropayeva in the 2005 TV series Not Born Beautiful. This role helped her become a well-known actress.
In 2012, Olga played the main character in the film Masha. She also appeared in the movie Secrets and Lies in 2018.
In 2019, she played Alla Safranov in the Netflix series Better than Us. In this show, she played the wife of Georgy Safronov.
