Oluwale Bamgbose, born on August 4, 1987, is a Nigerian-American mixed martial artist. He used to compete in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is a big sports league for mixed martial arts.

Oluwale's Education Journey
Oluwale grew up with parents who taught him the importance of good education and strong values. He started learning karate when he was 12 years old. Later, he switched to Taekwondo, another type of martial art.
Oluwale went to college and earned several degrees. He has an associate degree from SUNY Morrisville. He also has a bachelor's degree in "Child and Family Studies" from SUNY Oneonta. Plus, he earned a master's degree in "Public Administration" from Alfred University. While he was in college, Oluwale started training in mixed martial arts.
His Mixed Martial Arts Career
Oluwale Bamgbose first competed as an amateur mixed martial artist. After one year, he had a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. He then became a professional fighter in June 2013.
He fought only for a regional promotion called Ring of Combat. There, he won all 5 of his fights. He finished every opponent in the first round. Because of his impressive wins, he signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the summer of 2015.
Fighting in the UFC
Oluwale made his first appearance in the UFC on August 8, 2015. He stepped in at the last minute to fight Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 73. Oluwale lost this fight by TKO in the first round.
His next fight was on February 21, 2016, at UFC Fight Night 83. Again, he was a last-minute replacement, fighting Daniel Sarafian. Oluwale won this fight with a knockout in the first round.
For his third UFC fight, Oluwale was once more an injury replacement. He faced Cezar Ferreira on April 16, 2016, at UFC on Fox 19. He lost this match by a unanimous decision from the judges.
Oluwale was supposed to fight Josh Samman in December 2016. However, Samman sadly passed away before the fight. Oluwale was then scheduled to fight Joe Gigliotti. But Oluwale had to pull out of that fight due to an injury.
He was also set to fight Tom Breese on March 18, 2017. But on the day of the event, Breese was not able to compete, so the fight was canceled.
Oluwale then fought Paulo Costa on June 3, 2017, at UFC 212. It was a tough fight, and Oluwale lost by TKO in the second round.
His last UFC fight was against Alessio Di Chirico on December 16, 2017, at UFC on Fox 26. He lost this fight by knockout in the second round.
Oluwale Bamgbose was released from the UFC on December 28, 2017.
