Omar Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Raaki Al Amoudi (Arabic: عُمَر عَبْد الرَّحْمٰن أَحْمَد الرَّاقِي الْعَمُودِيّ; born 20 September 1991) is a professional footballer from the United Arab Emirates. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger. He is well-known for his amazing skills and vision on the field.
Omar started his senior career with Al Ain in the 2008–09 season. He quickly helped his team win several trophies, including the Etisalat Cup and the President's Cup. Even though he faced some serious knee injuries, he always came back stronger. He became a key player for Al Ain and was named Emirati Player of the Year in 2013. He was also recognized internationally by ESPN FC and FIFA as one of Asia's most promising players.

Omar's Early Life and Football Journey
Omar Abdulrahman grew up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father, Abdulrahman Ahmed, was also a football player. Omar has two older sisters and three older brothers, Ahmad, Khaled, and Mohammed. The family belongs to the Al-Amoudi family.
Omar loved playing football in the neighborhoods of Riyadh. A scout named Abdulrahman Eissa noticed his talent by chance. He found out that Omar wasn't playing for any club and didn't have Saudi nationality.
Joining Al Ain Club
In 2000, Omar had a trial with Al Hilal. They wanted to sign him, but they only offered Saudi nationality to him, not his whole family. So, his father said no to the offer.
Later, a friend of Abdulrahman Eissa connected with Nasser bin Thaloub, an honorary member of Al Ain. Nasser was looking for talented young players. Abdulrahman Eissa told him about Omar and his brothers. Al Ain agreed to give citizenship to Omar's entire family, and they moved to the United Arab Emirates. Omar and two of his brothers joined Al Ain's youth academy.
Omar's Club Career Highlights
Omar joined the Al Ain Academy in 2008. He played for various youth teams before being promoted to the first team in 2009 by coach Winfried Schäfer. His first official game for the senior team was on 24 January 2009 in the Etisalat Cup.
Starting Strong with Al Ain (2008–2009)
Omar made his first team debut at just 17 years old. He helped Al Ain win their first club trophy, the Etisalat Cup, in April 2009. A week later, they won the President's Cup. Omar scored his first league goal on 11 May 2009, becoming the youngest player to score that season.
Overcoming Injuries and Shining (2009–2012)
In July 2009, Omar suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for over six months. He returned to play for the youth teams and then the first team. In the 2010–11 season, he became a regular starter and took over the number 10 jersey. He scored 11 goals and made 8 assists that season. He was named the Pro-League's most promising player of the Year for the second time.
In 2011–12, Omar faced another knee injury, again keeping him out for six months. He returned to see Al Ain win the league title.
Trial with Manchester City (2012)
In August 2012, Omar had a two-week trial with English club Manchester City. The team was impressed, but a deal couldn't be made because of work permit rules. Manchester City remained interested in him.
Becoming a Star Player (2012–2015)
After his trial, Omar returned to Al Ain for the 2012–13 season. He helped Al Ain win the UAE Super Cup and the league title. He was named Man of the Match in the Super Cup. He scored many goals and provided many assists, earning him the Emirati Player of the Year award.
In the 2013–14 season, Omar continued to be a top player. He was the top assist maker in the Arabian Gulf League with 17 assists. He also helped Al Ain win the President's Cup.
During the 2014–15 season, Omar helped Al Ain reach the Champions League semi-finals. He signed a new contract with Al Ain until 2018, becoming one of the highest-paid players in the region. He helped Al Ain win another league title.
Moving to Al Hilal and Al Jazira
In August 2018, Omar joined Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia on a loan. He was the first Emirati player to play abroad.
In August 2019, Omar signed a three-year contract with Al Jazira. He played 19 games and scored three goals before the season was stopped. He later left Al Jazira in January 2021 due to injuries.
Joining Shabab Al-Ahli and Al Wasl
In February 2021, Omar signed a six-month deal with Shabab Al-Ahli. More recently, he joined Al Wasl for the 2023–24 season, where he helped them win the UAE Pro-League.
