Growing Up: Omar Bolden's Early Life
Omar Bolden went to Colony High School in Ontario, California. He was a star player there. He played both running back and defensive back.
In his final year of high school, he ran for over 2,000 yards. He scored 26 touchdowns. He also had 80 tackles on defense. Omar helped Colony High win its first ever CIF title in 2006. He was named the Most Valuable Player for his division.
Experts at Rivals.com thought Omar was a top football recruit. He was ranked as one of the best all-purpose backs in the country. He was very fast, running a 40-yard dash in just 4.35 seconds. This was one of the fastest times recorded that year.
Omar chose to play for Arizona State University. He also had offers from other big schools. These included USC, Michigan, and Nebraska.

Freshman Year Success
In 2007, Omar Bolden started playing for the Sun Devils. He was a true freshman, meaning it was his first year. He played in all 13 games that season.
He made 33 tackles and broke up six passes. He also caught one interception and ran it back for a touchdown. Because of his great play, he was named a First-team Freshman All-American.
Sophomore Season Highlights
In his second year, Omar started all 12 games as a cornerback. He was one of the top tacklers on the team. He had 49 tackles and broke up seven passes. He also caught two interceptions.

Playing for the Denver Broncos
Omar Bolden was seen as one of the best cornerback players in his draft class. The Denver Broncos picked him in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft. He was the 101st player chosen overall.
On November 8, 2015, Omar returned a punt for a touchdown. However, the Broncos lost that game to the Indianapolis Colts.
Omar was part of the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016. They beat the Carolina Panthers 24–10. Even though he was on the team, Omar did not play in the game. He was on injured reserve at the time.
Omar Bolden holds some records for the Denver Broncos. In 2014, he had the most yards per kickoff return in a season (33.0 yards). In 2015, he had the most yards per punt return in a season (24.6 yards).
Short Time with the Chicago Bears
After leaving the Broncos, Omar signed with the Chicago Bears. This happened on March 31, 2016. However, he was cut from the team a week before training camp began. This was on July 22, 2016.
