Onaka (Dakota: oyanka; "place") is a town in Faulk County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 13 at the 2020 census.

History
Onaka was founded in 1907 as a station stop on a branch line of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway built that year between Conde and LeBeau, South Dakota. Railway service to Onaka ended in 1940.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.27 square miles (0.70 km2), of which 0.26 square miles (0.67 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water.
