Oona Laurence (born August 1, 2002) is a talented American actress. She became well-known for playing Matilda Wormwood in the Broadway show Matilda. She shared this famous role with Bailey Ryon, Milly Shapiro, and Sophia Gennusa. Oona started acting as a child in New York City, appearing in movies, plays, and TV shows.

Acting Career
Oona started her acting journey with small parts in local plays and short films. In 2012, she tried out for a new musical called Matilda on Broadway. She won the part of Matilda and performed in the show from March 4 to December 15, 2013. She acted alongside Bailey Ryon, Milly Shapiro, and Sophia Gennusa.
After her time in Matilda, Oona began acting in movies. She appeared in films like A Little Game, I Smile Back, Lamb, and Southpaw. In Southpaw, she played the daughter of characters played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams.
She has also appeared on television shows. These include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Orange Is the New Black.
In 2016, Oona played Natalie in the movie Pete's Dragon. She also acted as Jane Mitchell, the daughter of Mila Kunis's character, in Bad Moms.
In 2017, Laurence co-starred in Sofia Coppola's film The Beguiled. She acted alongside famous stars like Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, and Elle Fanning.
Oona is also the voice of Hedgehog and other characters in the Cartoon Network series Summer Camp Island. She even sings the theme song for the show.
In 2020, she starred in the Netflix movie A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting. In this dark fantasy film, she acted with Tom Felton, Indya Moore, and Tamara Smart.
