Thomas Andrew Felton (born on 22 September 1987) is an English actor. He was born in Surrey, England.
Tom Felton started acting in TV commercials. His first movie role was Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers (1997). He then played Louis T. Leonowens in Anna and the King (1999).
Tom became famous for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. These films are based on the popular fantasy books by J. K. Rowling. He played Draco from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011).
After Harry Potter, Tom appeared in the science fiction movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011). He also acted in other films like From the Rough (2011) and The Apparition (2012).
Tom Felton has starred in many TV shows and movies. He was in the historical series Labyrinth (2012). He also appeared in the drama Belle (2013). In 2015, he was a guest star in the TV show Murder in the First. He played Doctor Alchemy in The CW's TV series The Flash (2014–2017).

Early life and interests
Thomas Andrew Felton was born on 22 September 1987. He grew up in Epsom, Surrey. He is the youngest of four brothers. His maternal grandfather is a scientist named Nigel Anstey.
Tom went to Cranmore School until he was 13. Then he attended the Howard of Effingham School. As a child, Tom loved singing. He joined school choirs. He was even offered a place in the Guildford Cathedral Choir.
Acting career highlights
Early roles (1997–2000)
Tom Felton started his acting journey in commercials. He worked for companies like Commercial Union and Barclaycard. His first big movie role was Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers (1997). This movie was directed by Peter Hewitt.
In 1998, Tom voiced the character James in the TV series Bugs. He also played Thomas Ingham in Second Sight in 1999. In this show, he acted alongside Clive Owen. Tom also played Louis T. Leonowens in the movie Anna and the King (1999). He starred with Jodie Foster in this film. In 2000, he appeared in Second Sight 2.
Becoming Draco Malfoy (2001–2011)
In 1999, auditions began for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This was the first movie based on J. K. Rowling's famous book. Tom had not read the books before his audition. He first tried out for the roles of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. But he was chosen to play Draco Malfoy.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone came out in 2001. It was a huge success. Many people praised the cast, including Tom. One reviewer said his acting showed "upper-class insolence."
Tom played Draco again in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002). For this role, he won a Disney Channel Kids Award. In 2004, Tom started his Official Tom Felton Fan Club. He met many fans at autograph events. His fan club became so popular that he had to temporarily stop new people from joining. When a fan asked him what kids should do if someone like Draco Malfoy bullies them, he said: "Tell someone. You do not want to keep it to yourself."
Tom continued to appear in the Harry Potter movies. These included Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire. These films gained even more global fame. In 2005, Tom made a guest appearance in Home Farm Twins. On 11 November 2005, he and Rupert Grint (who played Ron Weasley) gave an award to Liz Carnell. She was honored for her work against bullying.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was filmed in 2006 and released in 2007. It was one of the highest-earning films that year. Tom was asked if he wanted to play a good character in the future. He replied: "I suppose for now I'm happy with sticking to what he is. But after the Potter legacy is over I look forward to playing a good guy, or someone different anyway; someone not so spiteful."

In July 2007, Tom visited Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. This was for a special charity screening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. On 18 March 2011, Tom took part in a comedy sketch for Red Nose Day 2011. He appeared with many famous people.
On 12 November 2008, Tom was on the show Adrenaline ... with Jack Osbourne. He took part in exciting challenges in South Africa. These included a 200-foot bungee jump and facing great white sharks. Tom played Simon in the horror movie The Disappeared (2009).

While filming Harry Potter, Tom and actress Emma Watson (who played Hermione Granger) both admitted to having crushes on each other at different times. In Tom's book, Beyond the Wand, Emma Watson called them "soulmates."
Projects after Harry Potter (2012–2021)
Tom Felton has shared his music on YouTube under the name "Feltbeats." He performs parts of his own songs. Nine of his songs are available on iTunes. These include "Time Well Spent" and "Under Stars." He also recorded an album called In Good Hands.
In 2012, Tom was in the horror film The Apparition. He also appeared in the drama From the Rough. Tom played James Ashford in Belle (2013). This movie was praised by critics. He also starred with Elizabeth Olsen in Thérèse (2013). Tom played Viscount Trencavel in the TV series Labyrinth in 2013.
In 2014, Tom played a US Navy airman in the survival drama Against the Sun.
In 2015, Tom was in the TV show Murder in the First. He played Erich Blunt, a tech worker who was a suspect in a murder case. Tom also had supporting roles in movies like Risen (2016). In January 2021, Tom was confirmed for the lead role in Save The Cinema. Filming began in Wales. The movie tells the true story of Liz Evans. She was a hairdresser who started a campaign to save a theater in Carmarthen, Wales.
Recent work (2022–present)
In early 2022, Tom Felton joined other cast members for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. This was a special reunion film.
In May 2022, Tom made his West End theatre debut in London. He starred in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story.
In October 2022, Tom published his book, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard. The book talks about his acting career, especially his time in the Harry Potter movies. It became a number one best-seller on The New York Times nonfiction list.
Tom appeared in the 2023 thriller Some Other Woman.
Personal life and interests
Tom Felton was in a relationship with stunt assistant Jade Olivia Gordon from 2008 to 2016. Jade played Tom's character's wife, Astoria Greengrass, in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Even though fans wondered, Tom and Emma Watson have never dated. Tom has been in a relationship with jewelry designer Roxanne Danya since around 2020.
Tom owned a Labrador Retriever named Timber, who passed away in 2014. In 2018, he adopted another black Labrador Retriever named Willow. For Halloween in 2021, Tom dressed up as Gryffindor student Harry Potter. He also dressed Willow as a Gryffindor. Tom also has a yellow lab named Forrest, whom he got in 2022.
Tom Felton is an agnostic. This means he believes it's not possible to know if God exists.
